The latest TWAB (This Week At Bungie) has arrived and it’s pretty massive considering transmogrification (Amour Synthesis is Destiny 2’s technical term). The post explains how the upcoming transmog system will work next season, which launches on May 11, and what materials the Guardians will need to acquire in order to change the appearance of the items.
The system will use a new set of materials called Synthstrands, Synthcords and Synthweaves to unlock an ornament from a former armor piece from the Collections. Synthstrands will need to be unlocked by killing enemies, then Synthcords can be earned by exchanging 150 Synthstrands in Ada-1 for a reward in order to get the Synthweaves needed to unlock an Ornament.
This means that the system is a little more complex and grindy than simply unlocking new armor ornaments, and to make matters worse, you can only unlock ten ornaments per season per class (20 by next season to help the synthesis system). armor off the ground), although you can buy more from Eververse (the micro-transaction shop). And of course, unlocked ornaments only apply to Legendary Armor pieces, meaning this system won’t affect exotic items.
Otherwise, TWAB has given some information on the Shader changes and how when next season arrives, a new set of Nightfall weapons will be available. You can read the full TWAB which provides more information on Armor Synthesis here .
