Find It Quick Find latest news and update about gadget and technology Tue, 23 Jun 2020 21:27:59 +0000 en hourly 1 AMAZON ECHO AUTO ARRIVES IN ITALY Mon, 10 Aug 2020 19:01:00 +0000 It is the tool that brings Amazon Alexa into your car, simply and immediately

Amazon Echo Auto finally arrives in Italy, it is the first Echo device designed for use on the road to bring all the potential of Alexa on the road.

Echo Auto is already on sale on   at a price of € 59.99.

Many customers have indicated to us their desire to have access to Alexa wherever they are.
We are happy to offer them an easy way to add Alexa to their car.
With Echo Auto, customers can now enjoy all the comfort guaranteed by Alexa on the go, with the ability to play music, make phone calls, continue listening to their audiobooks, play video games, manage their memos and much more – all this by simply using their voice.

Echo Auto is supported by 8 microphones, placed in order to work correctly with the internal acoustics of a car.

This solution makes Alexa capable of listening to voice controls even in the presence of music or the noise of the air conditioning and the street. Among the various “challenges” of Alexa, the one with the noises of the cockpit is perhaps one of the most complex.

Echo Auto is powered by the 12V socket or the USB port in the car and connects to the stereo system via an audio cable with a 3.5mm jack or via Bluetooth.

The small device connects to Alexa through the appropriate application on the smartphone and is obviously compatible with both iOS and Android.

To connect, take advantage of the customer’s existing data plan, offering access to many features such as music, phone calls and more.

For example, just ask Alexa to listen to your daily news, an Audible audiobook and simply your favorite streaming radio.

It will also be possible to set memos, control devices for the Smart Home, create the shopping list or manage your own agenda without taking your eyes off the road.

There are already tens of thousands of skills and the portfolio is constantly growing; thanks to all external applications, Alexa becomes smarter.

I remind you that Skills are like apps on smartphones and allow you to give many commands to smart home devices or perform common actions, such as playing relaxing music or testing your musical knowledge. To discover new skills, just ask: “Alexa, what are the best skills?”

THE UBI BANCA APP IN THE HUAWEI APPGALLERY Sat, 08 Aug 2020 18:50:00 +0000 The month of June for Huawei is increasingly the month of financial apps

Now is also the ‘ app UBI Banca in AppGallery Huawei, available for download on all products with the  Huawei Mobile Services .

For those who don’t remember, I point out that among the compatible devices there are the HUAWEI P40 series  ,  HUAWEI Mate Xs , HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro  or the latest  HUAWEI  Y5P  and  HUAWEI Y6P .

The UBI Banca app allows all users to always have the institution’s digital services at hand and to use them in a simple and intuitive way with a single click.

Consult reports, make transfers, top up prepaid cards and pay postal slips by photographing the barcode, directly from your smartphone.

Using the UBI Banca app is simple, just download the application from HUAWEI AppGallery and set the access mode you prefer: you can enter with your password, fingerprint or through face recognition.

Furthermore, even before accessing the reserved area of the app, it will be possible to start the main functions, such as checking the balance or sending a bank transfer.

“We know how fundamental the management of finances is for our consumers: for this reason we work tirelessly to bring all the banking services apps most requested by users within our platform.
Today, with the arrival of UBI Banca, we return to reaffirm and demonstrate our commitment to our customers and to all the partners who choose us every day and contribute to the growth of our ecosystem “.

UBI Banca is, in Italy, the first credit institution to land on Huawei AppGallery, confirming the fact that continuing to invest in digitalization is a priority commitment of the Group.
Ensuring the best customer experience in using online services is one of our main objectives, and in this sense it becomes fundamental to offer the possibility of using apps developed specifically for the various operating systems.
The new UBI Banca application will certainly improve the satisfaction of our customers who use Huawei devices, simplifying all those online banking operations that are now available daily from smartphones and tablets “.

The apps available on the  HUAWEI AppGallery  are all verified and have passed four levels of security before being published on the platform, a solution that wants to be  open , but at the same time  safe and innovative : privacy and security are absolute innovations.

AppGallery boasts over  60,000 apps  already integrated with  HMS Core and the arrival of UBI Banca fills one of the main gaps in the app portfolio today, that relating to Italian banking institutions.

In recent days, the Hype and Satispay apps have also been introduced , reflecting the commitment that Huawei is constantly making to fill the current gap.

We had anticipated that the month of June would be characterized by new launches related to the financial world and the feeling is that other news from the same sector will be waiting for us shortly.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Wed, 05 Aug 2020 19:46:00 +0000 The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is the first Samsung tablet of 2020. A model that is located under the Galaxy Tab S6 and the Galaxy Tab S5e and which, unlike the latter, offers S-Pen compatibility. A sufficient argument?

In 2019, Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Tab S5e as well as its Rolls of tablets, the Galaxy Tab S6 – currently the best tablet on Android. With this Lite version, the manufacturer offers a sort of compromise between the two, replacing the oled panel so as to offer a more attractive price. But it is especially the presence of the stylus that distinguishes this new model from the Galaxy Tab S5e.

In fact, it is offered from € 399 or € 469 in 4G version. A price that places it against the Huawei MediaPad M6 10.8 inch, but also against its sister the Galaxy Tab S5e . At Apple, this S6 Lite competes with the new iPad of 2019 .

Aesthetically, the Tab S6 Lite looks exactly like the Galaxy Tab S6. The design introduced with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e has proven itself and offers a polished finish to the recent tablets of the South Korean firm. The Tab S6 Lite keeps more or less the same dimensions as its big sister and gains a little thickness (7 mm against 5.7 mm). She is also a bit overweight (465 g against 420 g for the Tab S6).

Visually, the front does not change much. But Samsung preferred to offer here an LCD panel instead of the Oled present on the two other tablets mentioned earlier. The display is a bit smaller and increases to 10.4 inches. This brings a lower occupancy rate (78%) and a 5: 3 ratio.

Finally, it is on the back that the biggest changes are visible. The concave space reserved for recharging the stylus disappears, as does the second photo sensor. If there is indeed an S-Pen with the tablet, it does not offer as many possibilities as that of the Galaxy Tab S6. It is however posed by magnetism on the right edge, which makes it possible not to lose it when it is not used.

In terms of ergonomics, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is convincing, thanks in particular to its 5: 3 format, ideal for reading. The volume and lock buttons, positioned on the right edge, are easily accessible. For its part, the S-Pen remains as relevant and precise as ever. Only biometric recognition spoils the party. The absence of a fingerprint sensor and true facial recognition pushes us to return to the diagrams, PIN code and other passwords.

The Tab S6 Lite offers a 3.5 mm mini-jack socket. It seems that Samsung did not bother too much with the settings since our measurements are almost identical to those noted on the S5e. The latter delivers good power, which may be suitable for a good number of helmets. No complaints about the distortion and the dynamics which are excellent. On the other hand, the problem of stereo reproduction does not seem to have been solved. The latter is still just as bad.

Output level107 mVrms97.5 mVrms
Distortion + Noise0.002%0.006%
Dynamic range105 dB96.2 dB
Crosstalk-45 dB-60.1 dB

Positioned on the upper and lower sections in portrait mode, the two speakers offer a pleasant experience. The delivered sound manages to keep its clarity even at the highest volume levels. We only regret moderate power. However, they allow a comfortable viewing of a series or a film.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite sports a 10.4-inch LCD panel in 2000 x 1200 pixels. A screen pretty good anyway, even if we will have to be satisfied with the factory settings since Samsung did not want to offer adjustment parameters.

We thus measure a Delta E at 2.8 with drifts mainly on the RGB tones. For example, blue reaches a Delta E of 6 when green and red are 4. Expert eyes will easily be able to spot the colorimetric faults of this display. However, it catches up on the color temperature. It stands at 6,940 Kelvin, very close to the standard (6,500 K).

Its maximum brightness has been raised to 396 cd / m², a suitable value, but quite low compared to what the competition or even other recent models from Samsung can offer. Fortunately, the management of the reflections of the slab is good (46.8%). As is, you can read under the sun without too many problems. At night, the story is different since the display is too bright to be pleasant (minimum brightness at 8.7 cd / m²).

The contrast ratio is 1,844: 1, a very good result for an LCD panel. The tactile delay is 94 ms and the remanence time is 19 ms.

The graph above shows the results almost identical to those of the smartphone. Also, we can see the power difference between the Galaxy Tab S6 and the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. The performance of the new tablet is therefore mixed. She knows how to handle multiple applications properly – even if the greediest have it faltering somewhat. For the game, the S6 lite suffers a bit and you have to make a compromise between fluidity and graphics, when the game settings offer this choice.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 has only one sensor, like the Galaxy Tab S5e and the 10-inch Galaxy Tab A. Its resolution is 8 megapixels.

By day, the shots of the Tab S6 Lite are highly smoothed and offer a blurred result. However, the colors are a little more faithful than those of the Tab S5e, which tends to draw towards red.

At night, the Tab S6 Lite suffers from the same faults as the Tab S5e, but worse. The picture is so noisy that it is unusable. In addition, we note chromatic aberrations, visible at the end of the map and faces in the upper left corner of our test scene.

Front sensor, portrait and video mode

At the front, the front module has a 5 MP sensor and does not work miracles. The pictures taken turn out to be smooth and unrealistic while the overall lighting remains average. This is enough for video. Note that the tablet is able to run in 1080p without problem.

The tablet has a 7,040 mAh battery. A large accumulator which allows it to last 17 h 17 min according to our autonomy protocol. A better result than that of the Galaxy Tab S6 (14 h 49 min) but less good than that of the Galaxy Tab S5e (20 h 34 min).

DOWNLOADS IMMUNE TO 3 MILLION, BUT NOT ENOUGH Mon, 03 Aug 2020 19:41:00 +0000 Encouraging data because the communication campaign started only a few days ago

Innovation Minister Paola Pisano yesterday announced the data on Immune Downloads, the app has been downloaded 3 million times, a good result but we need to do better.

To be precise, we speak of 3,352,902 times, an interesting figure, but still not enough for the protection given by contact tracing to be effective.

The minister is quite confident because the communication partner on Immuni has only left for a few days, at the same time as the platform came into operation after the experimental weeks.

we are at the beginning, a few days have passed since the experimentation period ended, we still have to get to the heart of the communication campaign

In the meantime, the app has begun to anonymously track contacts and report any risks, the first reported case comes from Puglia, but it seems that there are already several cases of notifications of the potential risk, following the registration of positive cases.

We have said and written several times , Immuni does not create privacy problems, it is not invasive and the only risk we can run is that it does not work.

But it’s a price you can risk paying in exchange for a few seconds of download effort. The rest are just chatter.

Apple iPad (2018): winning formula does not change, it improves Fri, 31 Jul 2020 14:55:37 +0000 The 2018 edition of the 9.7-inch iPad introduces a new processor and support for Apple Pencil to write and draw on the tablet’s display.

The new 9.7-inch iPad retains the good already seen with the predecessor, adding native support to Apple Pencil. The tablet thus becomes an even more versatile tool, both for study and for entertainment and productivity, thanks to the latest innovations introduced by the iOS operating system and the rich software catalog offered by the App Store platform.

Apple iPad (2018): all the details

The design of the iPad version 2018 remains unchanged compared to what was seen in the previous generation of the device. There are the Touch ID fingerprint reader positioned next to the screen (or below, depending on how you hold it) to be used for payments with Apple Pay and which performs the function of Home button, integrated stereo speakers, the jack from 3.5 mm for headphones and earphones, physical buttons for volume adjustment and switching on or off. In the version with Cellular module for mobile connectivity there is also the slot that houses the SIM. The front is almost entirely occupied by the 9.7-inch display with IPS panel with LED backlight (resolution 2048 × 1536 pixels, 264 ppi) covered with an oleophobic coating.

Among the colors available for the body: silver, sidereal gray and gold, with the latter very similar to the pink gold color already seen on some products of the bitten apple. The dimensions are 240 × 169.5 × 7.5 mm, while the weight stands at 469 or 478 grams depending on the version.

Data sheet

The heart of the tablet is the A10 Fusion processor with 64-bit architecture and integrated M10 coprocessor, the same as iPhone 7. The amount of RAM installed is 2 GB. Together these components provide more than enough computational power to easily manage even the most complex applications, even though without equaling the performance of the iPad Pro.

Scrolling through the list of specifications are then a rear camera with 8 megapixel autofocus and video recording in 1080p, while the front FaceTime 1.2 megapixel reaches 720p. All models offer the 802.11a / b / g / n / ac WiFi module with support for MIMO technology, while in Cellular add-on connectivity to mobile networks and GPS. MacBook Air 2020 Sat, 25 Jul 2020 19:34:00 +0000 A new, cheaper and more powerful MacBook Air is almost a revolution for Apple, which has long advocated an elitist business strategy. As for whether this recipe will lead the brand to new successes, this is what we will see ..

The MacBook Air 2019 edition had been widely criticized for its technical weaknesses. If the quality of manufacture and the classy sobriety of the design always honored the brand, the endowment of the device in terms of equipment had turned out below expectations. It must be said that the integration of a Core Y and a 128 GB disk for a product over € 1,000 was enough to make even the most addicted fan jump.

Fortunately, 2020 is not 2019, and Apple has obviously heard the critics: this new edition of its 13-inch format wants to be more rational, with in particular an updated processor part. The brand has thus bet on a latest generation Intel chip (Ice Lake) for the heart of its machine. In addition, the user now gains the possibility of choosing between several configurations (2 or 4 cores), knowing that the copy that we have obtained has a Core i3 (2 cores, therefore). Storage side, from 128 GB minimum, we go to 256 GB. And retaining the assets it already had, Apple obviously hopes to arise as a more serious alternative, in a market that does not lack competition: let us mention among others the Surface Laptop 3 , XPS 13and other HP Specter .

Obviously, Apple has not focused its attention on what could be improved at the level of the chassis of its ultraportable: the MacBook Air 2020 edition is, seen from the outside, a carbon copy of the 2019 edition. The dimensions of the two devices are there to prove it: both share 30.4 cm in width, 21.3 cm in depth and up to 1.6 cm in thickness. And if we do not question this choice from an aesthetic point of view – as the MacBook flatters the retina of its user -, we can wonder about the functional aspect, which would not have said no to some improvements. Admittedly, the fingerprint sensor is there, and it is also particularly effective in its work, but the camera continues to display a 720p resolution.

We also regret the number of famel inputs / outputs possible. The MacBook Air also succeeds in doing even less well than the Surface Laptop 3 on this criterion: while one offered 2 USB ports including a USB type A, a headphone jack, and a separate charging socket, the Apple product is content with two USB type C ports, one of which must be used for charging, and a headphone jack. And always to put things in a certain context and to justify our annoyance, the latest models of XPS 13 offer an SD card reader, 3 USB 3 ports including 2 with T3 support, and a headphone jack. Mathematically, Apple’s offer is still at least slight.

And this is not the only annoyance that we have noted. With an Ice Lake processor from the Y family (very low consumption), one would have thought that noise pollution would be reduced to a minimum. However, it is not the case. Admittedly, the MacBook Air 2020 remains silent when it is little used, but as soon as a somewhat arduous task points the tip of its nose, the ventilation activates, and makes the breath rise to 45 dB. In an equivalent format, the Razer Blade Stealth does for example much better, while the components it embeds are of a whole new level. To return to more similar products, the 13-inch Surface Laptop 3 produced 40 dB in load, again with a class U CPU, not Y. This need for ventilation is easily explained by the temperature reached by the processor: 100 ° C supported on all cores, monothreaded . This regime therefore allows both the chip not to undergo significant frequency variation and the chassis to maintain reasonable surface temperatures, the majority of the heat being evacuated by the vents at the back of the laptop.

Out of curiosity, we had fun removing the base that protects access to the internal components, however knowing what we were going to find there. As usual, Apple has completely locked its configuration, with the help of internal covers and a welded design. SSD and memory are thus inseparable from the motherboard.

You will understand, the envelope and the technical services of the MacBook Air chassis are not impressive, especially in the face of competition. However, we can console ourselves by praising the care taken (once again) in the input devices ( touchpad and keyboard). The first is wide, pleasant to the touch, and precise in recognizing finger movements, while the second is a model of efficiency, with a short, clean and precise stroke.

To bounce back on the arguments mentioned above, we could obviously say that some noise pollution is a lesser evil, provided that the performance is at the rendezvous. This is the whole problem of the recipe proposed by Apple: with a Core i3 given for a TDP of 9 W, there is no risk of going very far. The MacBook Air thus behaves very well on light tasks (simple office automation or browsing on the web) or on medium, but short loads, which therefore benefit from a high Boost frequency (2600 MHz). On the other hand, on longer or more intensive applications, the weakness of the embedded Core Y quickly appears.

Moreover, we can even distinguish here and there some effects of slowing down while the machine does not seem to occupy unduly, a sign that the processor can be quickly overwhelmed by certain background tasks. Note that for the sake of correspondence, our performance tests were carried out under Windows 10. An adjustment which will not however change the nature of our conclusions: under MacOS, the MacBook Air expresses the same weaknesses. For example, if our H.265 encoding test is a little better under MacOS than under Windows 10, its results remain in the same orders of magnitude, and are much lower than what we are entitled to expect an ultraportable at this rate.

Logically, our comments on application performance also apply to graphics performance. On our two benchmarks, the MacBook is unable to provide a decent experience.

Mobility / Autonomy

Reading the previous paragraphs, you necessarily think that we expected a lot from this MacBook Air on the question of autonomy. ”  Caramba, still missed,  ” allegedly launched Ramon in Tintin. The Apple ultrabook only takes 6 h 55 min on our test. And that we do not come to bring out the argument of a Windows 10 less economical than a macOS. With its preferred system and under similar conditions, the MacBook manages to glean 15 to 20 min, no more. It is very far from what we expected, and for comparison, the Huawei D14 or the Surface Laptop 3 take between 45 and 60 minutes more, for performance 2 to 3 times superior.

So far, we can’t say that this new MacBook has impressed us. Rest assured however, we have kept the main arguments of the machine for the end, because if Apple could have been more innovative on the management of components, the brand has lost none of its ability to take care of elements in direct connection with the comfort of use. A statement valid for the “input” part, and which is also valid for the screen which has beautiful characteristics: calibration with small onions, with an average Delta E measured at 2.4, and brightness which can be increased to ‘at 507 cd / m² are its main assets. The contrast is not exceptional, but it does not alter the experience, which remains particularly convincing.

We note however that, here again, Apple could have pushed its concept a little further: by offering thinner edges, for example, or a touch screen.

To the pleasure of the eyes, Apple adds that of the ears. As usual, the brand offers a particularly advanced audio system. This MacBook Air 2020 thus finds few equivalents on the market, apart from the Razer Blade Stealth , or the model it replaces. The precision of the stereophony and the power displayed by the loudspeakers are stunning, and if we can distinguish a very slight dynamic compression at high volume, it is not enough to distort a nice general experience. Experience that we will find elsewhere if we decide to go through the headphone jack: the signal is restored without distortion, and has a good power reserve.

Game On: Our exclusive gameplay of Assetto Corsa Competizione on PS4 Wed, 22 Jul 2020 19:29:00 +0000 This is the first real in-game video captured by the Silverstone circuit of Assetto Corsa Competizione for PlayStation 4. Kunos Simulations wanted to share this exclusive gameplay with Gamereactor users as part of the Game On summer initiative and to celebrate the launch of the game on console (also Xbox One) tomorrow.

But that’s not all, as the co-founder, Executive & Licensing Manager of Kunos Simulations, Marco Massarutto, was our guest in a video interview, in which he told us about the development of the console version, but also about the difficulties inherent in this different release.

Kunos, but mainly d3t Ltd, the UK-based studio that worked “for 18-20 months” with the Italian studio, worked on Assetto Corsa Competizione for Xbox One and PS4, according to Massarutto. And, unlike the first Assetto Corsa , this was “a port from scratch”, where improvements were made such as “a more console-friendly interface” or by dedicating “much more time to the gamepad algorithm”.

Since the developers are using Unreal Engine 4, “the programming team has been able to focus on content and physics”, and although UE “isn’t specifically designed for racing games” and needs a little more work, managed to maintain “the same physical accuracy” as on PC with “improved AI routines”. This means a very “demanding” approach, which corresponds to a 30 fps framerate on console.

The interview also confirms that the game supports “all modern steering wheels”, but Massarutto also told us how competitions benefit players and that they have a lot of love and gratitude towards the community, since they have contributed to modeling the game as well as and today.

And to those who request hundreds of cars in their racing games, Massarutto replies that Kunos “focuses strictly on the GT Series” and “each car is different, not only in terms of graphics, design or sound, but above all in terms of easy handling (…). We believe it is much better to drive in a sim with 25 cars whose performance behaves differently from each other, rather than a sim with 140 cars that give a flat feeling “.

Don’t believe it? Then try the combinations recommended by Marco at the end of the video, such as “Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in Suzuka in dry multiplayer conditions” or “Ferrari 488 GT3 Monza, wet, single player”.

Review new Ninebot E25E – E45E scooters Mon, 20 Jul 2020 19:23:00 +0000 Summer is coming, and new models of scooters are upon us. Thanks to our sources, we got to know in advance prices and features of the new Ninebot E25E and E45E scooters , of which we will soon see a review.

After the Ninebot E22E, two new models.

The Ninebot E22E was announced last week and stands as the entry-level of the new 2020 range of Ninebot scooters.
Among the most criticized features, the low speed: only 20 km / h. Also present is the “license plate holder”, which together with the low speed makes it homologable for the German market. 22 km can be covered.

Ninebot E25E

Ninebot E25E , the second of the 3 new models, has a speed of 25 km / h, quite comparable to the outgoing ES2 model.
It also shares with the new range the dual density rubber without tubing , from 9 ″, filled with a special anti-shock foam, and will have a front shock absorber.

This combined, should satisfy most users; too many times I have had to advise many guys who follow us whether to prefer the rigid rubber of Ninebot (anti puncture but expensive to replace) or the standard rubber of Xiaomi (without shock absorbers but cheap to replace, easy to puncture).
In fact, there is a mix of benefits: you cannot puncture and you have a rubber of important dimensions (9 inches) filled with a special shock-absorbing foam, plus a real front shock.

Also new are the increased fenders while the engine is a whopping 300W .
It guarantees a consistent thrust, especially in sport mode, and allows you to overcome climbs with slopes of even 15 degrees, without hesitating particularly, if not starting from a standstill.

The autonomy km is about 25 and the weight is 14.4 kg, slightly heavier than the model it replaces.
The brake is an electric pedal front and rear, a mix that convinced me: every time we brake we charge the battery, as happens on electric cars; for emergency or demanding braking, the more immediate rear brake remains valid.

Ninebot E45E

The new E45E will be the replacement of the ES4 model: in the same way it will be pre-equipped with the additional battery on the handlebar, in order to almost double the autonomy available: it is in fact about 45 km.
For this reason, E25E and E45E are identical in terms of chassis and performance, differing only in autonomy .

Scooter Bonus: Will It Work?

A good question: the state has confirmed that it has doubled the initial bonus of 120 million to 240 million euros , which should allow approximately 800,000 Italians to receive a refund of 60% of the cost of the scooter (or bike) up to a maximum of 500 €.
